At the end of 2008, the US entered at the very least a moderate recession, and economic growth in the rest of the world slowed considerably. Many large economies (Germany, the UK, Japan, etc.) and emerging economies (Estonia, Hungary, etc.) also have fallen into recession, noted an end-of-the-year analysis from the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
