As 2015 comes to a close, new project numbers globally are down year-over-year.

Nichols, Lee, Hydrocarbon Processing Staff

As 2015 comes to a close, new project numbers globally are down year-over-year. New project announcements have fallen from over 500 in 2014 to just over 300 in 2015. This represents a 40% decrease in new project announcements over the previous year. At present, Hydrocarbon Processing’s Construction Boxscore Database is tracking over $1.5 T in downstream projects globally. This month’s Global Project Data provides an overview of new projects announced throughout 2015 by region and sector, as well as total capital expenditures for active projects. HP      New project announcements by region and sector, 2015      New project announcements, Oct. 2014-present
