Reliability: Achieve longer bearing life in rotary asphalt pumps

When a major asphalt manufacturer experienced random bearing wear in its gear pumps, there was justified concern. Repeat repairs of these pumps had cost the plant numerous headaches and high maintenance costs over the years. The user wisely upgraded the bearing material to Cermatec (Fig. 1). FIG. 1.
