According to Hydrocarbon Processing’s Construction Boxscore Database, Asia, the Middle East and the US contain 66% of all active downstream construction projects globally. The Asia-Pacific region continues to build out its downstream sector to meet increasing demand for transportation fuels, petrochemical products and natural gas. These investments include the construction of large refining and petrochemical grassroots and integrated complexes, as well as LNG regasification terminals to increase imports of natural gas for power generation.
