Sinochem Hongrun Petrochemical Co. Ltd. will use Honeywell UOP’s ionic liquids alkylation technology to produce high-octane, cleaner-burning transportation fuels.

ASIA-PACIFIC Sinochem Hongrun Petrochemical Co. Ltd. will use Honeywell UOP’s ionic liquids alkylation technology to produce high-octane, cleaner-burning transportation fuels. The alkylation unit will be built at the company’s 100,000-bpd refining and petrochemical complex in Weifang City, China. PetroChina has awarded LyondellBasell a technology licensing contract for three polyethylene (PE) units to be built in China. LyondellBasell’s low-pressure slurry process will be used for a 300,000-tpy, high-density PE (HDPE) unit to be built in Korla City, Xinjiang Province; a 400,000-tpy unit in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province; and a 400,000-tpy plant in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province.
