As the hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI) nears the middle of 2019, Hydrocarbon Processing is providing an assessment of the global midstream/downstream processing industries’ capital investments. Active projects Hydrocarbon Processing’s Construction Boxscore Database is tracking more than 1,300 active capital projects around the world. These projects represent more than $1.8 T in capital expenditures. At nearly $640 B, the Asia-Pacific region is far and away the leader in capital investments, followed by the US at approximately $350 B (FIG. 1).
