Intelliwave and Shell sign global framework agreement

Intelliwave Technologies Inc., a producer of material, equipment and personnel cloud-based tracking systems for industrial capital projects, has signed a global framework agreement with Shell to support Shell's ProjectVantage program, providing a multi-vendor integrated data-centric approach to capital project delivery. This industry-leading program is aimed at delivering safer and better projects faster by:

  • improving cross-discipline and supplier collaboration
  • controlling data throughout the capital project lifecycle
  • applying standards and enabling replication

Intelliwave provides their SiteSense product suite as part of the framework agreement that automates material and equipment movement throughout the supply chain from vendor to project site right through installation.  Real-time accessibility through the SiteSense HTML5 Website and SiteSense Mobile applications allows the construction workers direct access to the availability and location of key project materials for work package planning and installation tasks.

Shell's ProjectVantage program is a fully integrated approach to create a data-centric model between EPCs and industry-leading technology providers. The use of data-centric methods are projected to reduce project costs and deliver safer projects when fully implemented.   The Track and Trace technology is one of the methods for automating and digitizing data for materials and equipment. Previous manual material control methods tended to be error-prone, time consuming and untimely.  SiteSense integrates RFID, mobile and cloud technologies to help automate many of these manual procedures.

SiteSense provides the Track and Trace technology which prove beneficial for capital projects through:

  • continuous traceability of materials and equipment through the supply chain
  • tracking of materials after delivery to site and in the laydown yard
  • tracking of field personnel for safety and efficiency; and
  • increased time on tools for construction workers
