Keynote Announcement: Kristen Holmquist, Forecasting Specialist, Poten & Partners

Join our second keynote speaker, Kristen Holmquist, Forecasting Specialist at Poten & Partners, as she discusses the implications of LNG structural changes on project finance and markets in her presentation, "Changing LNG contract structures."

In 2016 and 2017, few long-term LNG contracts were signed, limiting the number of projects going to FID. The lag in project approval is raising concerns about supply after 2020. In the first half of 2018, more long-term contracts have been signed, signaling a possible acceleration of project development and a shift toward more traditional market structures. However, the presence of aggregators and expiring existing contracts will continue to reshape the LNG commercial market.

Kristen Holmquist is a Forecasting Specialist at Poten & Partners, where she works on short-term and long-term supply/demand fundamentals forecasting for LNG and LPG. Prior to joining Poten, Ms. Holmquist was the Director of NGL at Ponderosa Advisors which is now part of Drilling Info. Kristen has 15 years of expertise in the energy industry focused on modeling shipping costs, production economics, supply/demand and pricing for the petrochemical, domestic US NGL, international LPG and LNG markets. She has an MBA degree from the University of Notre Dame and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
