IRPC EurAsia attendees will get exclusive tour of largest refinery in Scandinavia

For eleven years, Hydrocarbon Processing’s International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC) has been the leading downstream technology event. For 2019, IRPC EurAsia will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on June 5–7 and kicks off with a keynote by, Peter Vanacker, CEO of Neste.

Following the conference and exhibition will be an exclusive tour of Neste’s Kilpilahti refinery, the largest refinery in Scandinavia with five production lines including renewable diesel production and a modern SDA production line to utilize base oil.

The tour will begin with an introduction by Marko Pekkola, Vice President of Production and Petri Lehmus, Vice President of Research and Development who will present the refinery and Neste’s waste plastics utilization project. Salla Roni-Poranen, Managing Director, Locations Leader and Polyolefins Operations Manager, Borealis Polymers OY joins the opening introduction with a presentation on, "Carbon neutral future." 

Included in the tour of the Kilpilahti refinery is a tour of Borealis' plant and the combined-heat-and-power plant.
