Letter from the Editor-in-Chief: A promise to our loyal subscribers
On behalf of Hydrocarbon Processing, we hope that you and your families and colleagues are healthy and safe. Like most professionals in our industry, the Hydrocarbon Processing team is managing operations remotely. Although we are under a ‘work-from-home’ directive, Hydrocarbon Processing is continuing to fulfill its mission to provide reliable and insightful information to the hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI). We will carry on providing our subscribers with the latest in technological developments in the industry, a purpose that has defined our publication for more than 98 years.
Like most organizations, our staff have had to adjust operations including how we deliver the publication to our global subscriber base. Since most of our subscribers are working remotely, we will deliver the next three issues of Hydrocarbon Processing primarily through digital channels. Subscribers can access the latest issue by clicking on the link that is provided in the email sent the first week of each month.
Hydrocarbon Processing is also taking steps to provide additional content to the global HPI. We will continue to produce episodes of Hydrocarbon Processing’s “The Main Column” podcast. Working with our customers, we will increase the production of technical webcasts. Finally, we will send out a survey next week to gauge how our global audience perceives and is responding to the pandemic and how it has affected operations and spending.
The pandemic has changed operations for many professionals in the global HPI but our industry is resilient and has successfully overcome many challenges. We are confident that the present situation is no different. We want to extend the assurance that Hydrocarbon Processing will continue providing the latest technological know-how, case studies and best practices that advance safety, reliability, sustainability and profitability in the global HPI.
