Higher growth in American and European liquid filtration markets offsets slower growth in Asia, forecasts the McIlvaine Co., Northbrook, Illinois. A $2-billion world market is expected for 2000 due to greater than anticipated expenditures in North and South America as well as Eastern Europe. The forecast breaks down to: North and South America, $704 million; Europe and Africa, $623 million and Asia, $775 million. The HPI is a major purchaser of liquid filtration equipment such as filter presses and drum, bag and granular media filters.
