According to a recent report, European refiners have reduced oil discharges from their facilities. The study, released in December 1998 from CONCAWE, summarizes 1997 survey responses from 105 refineries, representing over 90% of the oil refining capacity. The survey update includes information from 10 more facilities than a 1993 publication. Information was gathered from refineries located in 15 EU countries, Norway, Switzerland and Hungary.
