The value of VOC-related air pollution control (APC) equipment in the U.S. market totaled $3.3 billion in 1999, according to a recent Business Communications Co., Inc. study. That amount will rise to just over $4.3 billion by 2004. Overall growth rates will run 5.4%/yr over the next 5 years. Filtration systems currently comprise the largest share (31%) of the total market, with an estimated value of $1.02 billion in 1999.
