ether (MTBE) industry has been under attack in the U.S.
Presently, over 30 bills in Congress, if promulgated, would
restrict or eliminate this chemical's usage as a gasoline
additive. Equally important, final or pending legislation or
executive orders in 14 states have the same
intents.
In April of this year, the first multistate class
action lawsuit was filed over MTBE
