The worldwide magnetic flowmeter market is expected
to show solid growth over the next several years. Worldwide
sales of magnetic flowmeters totaled $574 million in 2000 and
are projected to grow to $716 million in 2005. This
represents a 4.5%/yr growth rate, says a recent study from
Flow Research and Ducker Worldwide.
The study finds that magnetic flowmeters generate
more revenues worldwide than any other type of flowmeter.
While ultrasonic and Coriolis flowmeters are growing at a
faster rate, the installed base of magnetic flowmeters gives
them the edge.
