GE Energy has a $50 million contract to supplying two compression modules to Petrobras Netherlands BV. The agreement is for a new floating production unit (FPU) to be located in the Campos Basin, off the coast of Brazil. The FPU, designated P51, is claimed to be one of the largest offshore facilities in Brazil to extract oil and gas at a water depth of approximately 2,000 m. It is expected to produce approximately 180,000 bpd of oil and 6 million scfd of associated gas. Each compression module will encompass three motor-driven compressor trains. The supply scope includes engineering, construction and assembly, commissioning and testing, modules transportation and delivery, and training
