Aiming to accelerate the pace of technology deployment, industry consortia FIATECH is spearheading a new project. The initiative's mission is to improve the performance of facilities over their full life cycle by fostering a common, standard and integrated life cycle information model. The purpose of ISO 15926 is to have a standard-based neutral platform for life cycle information between different computer systems: to cover exchange, sharing, integration and hand-over. FIATECH's initiative will work to coordinate US efforts with related activities
