The refinery
The Heide refinery is an enterprise of the Klesch Group, and it employs approximately 500 people. The company has a processing capacity of 4.5 MMtpy of crude oil. The refinery was built in 1940, and produces classic mineral oil products, such as automotive gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. In addition, the refinery produces light heating oil along with base materials for the chemical industry.
