Energy-efficient alternative to floodlight Appleton, an Emerson brand and a global supplier in hazardous-location electrical products, announced an expansion to the Areamaster LED series (Fig 1). Appleton now offers a 26,000-lumen-output Areamaster LED version for floodlight and highbay applications to address the market’s need for an energy-efficient alternative to traditional 1,000-W high-intensity discharge (HID) fixtures in hazardous industrial areas.
