Work on the 112,000
The RCCU was shut on March 7 for the overhaul. The unit processes residual crude oil to make gasoline unlike the more common fluidic catalytic cracking unit, which processes gas oil.
The alkylation unit converts refining byproducts into octane-boosting components blended into gasoline.
