Belarus and Russia agree on tainted oil compensation approach

Belarus and Russia have agreed on an approach and method to compensation over tainted oil in the Druzhba pipeline, the RIA news agency said, citing the Belarusian government.

Contamination in the pipeline was discovered in April 2019 and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko estimated the financial losses sustained amounted to hundreds of millions of dollars. (Reporting by Gabrielle Tétrault-Farber; Writing by Alexander Marrow; Editing by Alex Richardson)
