The Air Liquide Group inaugurates hydrogen plant The Air Liquide Group has inaugurated one of its largest hydrogen plants in Corpus Christi, Texas. The plant is located in a large industrial region. It will supply hydrogen to such refineries as the Valero Refining Co., Ultramar Diamond Shamrock, Koch Refining Co., Celanese and Qualitech Steel. It will also supply Valero with steam, a by-product of hydrogen production. Air Liquide bases its strategy on expanding its traditional offering (oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) to include such products as steam, electricity and hydrogen associated services.
