Automated boiler blowdown control system reduces water and energy consumption to cut plant costs   The automated Model 61 boiler blowdown control system is said to offer a complete, ready-to-use system providing continuous control of the surface blowdown rate for commercial and industrial boilers. It optimizes blowdown cycles and reduces scaling and corrosion to reduce plant operating costs and extend boiler life. The Model 61 System calculates total dissolved solids (TDS) levels by measuring the boiler water’s conductivity. The conductivity measurement is made using Electro-Chemical Devices’ (ECDs’) precision CS10 conductivity sensor, featuring a standard ran
