Stamicarbon, the licensing and IP center of Maire Tecnimont S.p.A., has signed a license agreement with Hengang Huahe Coal Chemical Industry, Ltd. for a urea plant with a capacity of 1,860 metric tpd. The plant will be built in Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province, Peoples’ Republic of China. The urea plant will use Stamicarbon Urea2000Plus Technology, which features a pool reactor, minimum equipment and minimum plant height. By using Safurex stainless steel for the high-pressure synthesis section, low oxygen intake can be obtained.
