Multiple-area strategies can alleviate overhead corrosion and fouling. These include: Operating conditions Feed quality Feed treatment (desalting) Chemical treatment Materials Unit configuration. ACTION PLAN All of the listed areas have the potential to reduce fouling and corrosion. However, all have limitations.
