This year is nearly half over; however, the energy industry is more optimistic about the market and economy according to Ernst & Young’s (EY’s) recent 10th biannual Oil and Gas Capital Confidence Barometer survey and report. Over 1,600 senior executives in over 54 countries, including 145 oil and gas executives, were queried on the “condition” of the energy industry. In general, the respondents are more positive about the global economy than a year ago. Over 90% of the survey respondents viewed the global economy as stable or improving.
