URS to provide services to BP’s Whiting refinery

URS Corp.  today announced that it has been awarded a contract by BP Products North America Inc. to provide construction maintenance services, including electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and civil works to the Whiting refinery in Whiting, Indiana. The three-year contract has a maximum value of $150 million to URS.

“We are very pleased with this award,” said Tom Zarges, president, Energy and Construction for URS. “For the past 15 years, URS has been working with BP at the Whiting Refinery, the fifth largest refinery in the United States, and we look forward to building upon our relationship with BP through this award.”
