BP to invest $15bn in Angola over next 20 years

By ALEXIS FLYNN

BP plans to invest $15 billion in Angola over the next two decades, CEO Bob Dudley said at a press conference in Luanda in advance of a signing ceremony formalizing BP’s interest in a series of deepwater exploration blocks, the state press agency Angop reported.

Dudley said BP has already invested $15 billion in various projects in Angola and plans to invest another $15 billion for the next two decades, Angop reported.

Dudley was speaking in Luanda after meeting with vice president Fernando da Piedade Dias.

"We have taken this opportunity to also inform the Angolan vice president of the plans and development prospects of our company for the future in Angola," he was cited as saying by Angop.
