Jacobs wins work on RSPL India soda ash project

Jacobs Engineering Group received a contract from RSPL Ltd. to provide engineering services for a new greenfield soda ash plant in Gujarat, India, the companies said on Tuesday.

Officials did not disclose the contract value. The total contract duration is 36 months.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing detailed engineering, project management, procurement and construction supervision services for RSPL’s greenfield project.

The capacity of the facility is estimated at 500,000 tpy of light soda ash, approximately half of which can be converted in the production of dense soda ash.

“We appreciate RSPL Limited’s confidence in us, given our excellent track record in setting up soda ash plants in India,” said Jacobs vice president Allyn Taylor.

“We are committed to delivering a high level of value on this project, and are pleased that we are able to continue expanding the capabilities we provide to growing business sectors throughout India.”
