Arkieva upgrades supply chain software for INEOS

Arkieva, the designer and provider of a suite of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software tools, on Monday announced the successful upgrade of its software solution for INEOS Olefins & Polymers.

INEOS upgraded to version 4.6 of the suite, which will enable them to benefit from the latest features of the software, such as improved analytics and performance monitoring, and also allow better integration with the latest Windows version, according to company officials.

“Arkieva has been a reliable and robust supply chain planning software provider to us for a number of years,” said Chris Hawes, supply chain m anager for INEOS Olefins & Polymers in the US.

“The real value of any software solution is how quickly and easily it can adapt to changing conditions and operational environments. Arkieva has shown it can do this in a constructive way. In addition to planning, it enhances the visibility of supply chain data across different functions within INEOS O&P.”

Among the enhancements, INEOS users will experience a new user interface design. Based on customer feedback and research into best practices, Arkieva says the new interface is more intuitive with easy to use and understand displays.

The company also says the collaborative user aspect has been improved, making it much easier for users in corporate functions beyond supply chain to access and make sense of critical supply chain data.

“We greatly value our working relationship with an industry leader like INEOS,” said Sujit Singh, chief operating officer of Arkieva.

“Our partnership is truly a collaborative effort and software solutions benefit from working with a company like INEOS Olefins & Polymers. Nothing makes our job easier than to have a knowledgeable supply chain and IT group to work with on a project.”
