Fluor to partner with Supreme Group on modular fabrication work in Canada

Fluor announced Monday that it is combining its modular design expertise with the fabrication and construction capabilities of Supreme Group, a Canadian based-company that specializes in fabrication and module assembly across Canada.
 
The new partnership will be named Supreme Modular Fabrication. The 50/50 partnership will own, operate and deliver a full range of unique module assembly and fabrication services to the Canadian market place from its 50-plus-acre module yard near Edmonton, Alberta. 

This partnership allows Fluor to now deliver a fully integrated self-performed engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction (EPFC) solution to a wide range of projects across Canada.

With our unique modular and fabrication capabilities in the market, we will be able to deliver an integrated EPFC solution that will provide significant cost and schedule opportunities and benefits for our clients."

“There are significant gains for Supreme in our association with Fluor, a global industry leader, to create this new module and fabrication company,” added John Leder, chief operating officer of Supreme Group. “Within this new company, we will be able to offset many of the risks associated with field construction by executing more of the field content in our modular facility."

Fluor says it has maintained a strong presence in the Canadian market for more than 60 years by providing world-class engineering, procurement, construction and project management services. The company has more than 3,000 professionals working in offices in Calgary, Vancouver and numerous project sites.

“Through innovative offerings, such as Fluor’s 3rd Gen Modular Execution design, we are seeing increased levels of construction work move from the field to controlled, productive and less costly work environments like modular fabrication yards,” said Garry Flowers, president of Fluor’s global services group.

In September 2012, Fluor unveiled a similar modular fabrication partnership with AG&P in the Phillipines.
