Sulzer Pumps forms alliance with China's Sinopec

Sulzer Pumps has established a long term strategic partnership with China-based Sinopec to develop commercial activities within the hydrocarbon processing industry, the companies said on Tuesday.

Through this collaboration, both companies expect to benefit from joint technology development, research and development (R&D), as well as commercial and logistics cooperation.

Sinopec is one of the largest integrated energy and chemical companies in China, with upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas operations.

Through this partnership, Sulzer Pumps will support Sinopec's international operations and export business through constant and cost-effective supply and technical excellence. For service support and spare parts, Sinopec will be supported by Sulzer Pumps' global service network.

A team of experts from both companies will be established in the areas of technology, design and manufacturing to further develop offerings for the global market.

Together, officials say the strategic partnership provides both companies with an edge to serve the hydrocarbon processing markets.
