GTC Technology has opened a full-service process engineering office in New Delhi, India, the company announced on Wednesday.

The new facility is part of GTC’s long-term plans to bring innovative technologies and solutions to India and surrounding countries, according to GTC officials.

The new office will offer process licensing for the area’s refining and petrochemical sectors, and be GTC's hub for engineering/procurement/construction management and a regional site for the company's energy services and process equipment business units.

“Our office in India will provide GTC’s technical services as well as strengthen our commercial relationships in the region,” said Rajan Jain, director of GTC India. “GTC India will play a vital role in our commitment to serving our clients and partners around the world.”

A formal inauguration was conducted on May 4 with traditional observances by GTC employees and associates.

In addition to Mr. Jain, the attendees included Dr. Alok Saxena, technology manager; Anil Khatri, regional licensing manager; D. K. Dhingra, office manager; and Dr. T. S. R. Prasada Rao, consultant.

GTC is a leading licensor of aromatics recovery and purification technology, with novel processes to recover aromatics from FCC gasoline, styrene from pyrolysis gasoline, and methyl group management to maximize paraxylene from low-cost raw materials.
