Phillips 66 restarts California refinery after outage

BY ALISON SIDER

Phillips 66 is restarting its Santa Maria refinery in Arroyo Grande, California, after it lost power last night in a regional power outage.

The restart may take several days, Phillips 66 spokesman Rich Johnson said.

The Arroyo Grande plant is part of the company's 120,000 bpd San Francisco-area refining complex. Semi refined products from the Arroyo Grande facility are sent by pipeline to the Rodeo facility in the San Francisco Bay area for upgrading into finished petroleum products, according to Phillips 66's website.

The Rodeo plant was not affected by the power outage, Mr. Johnson said.
