Chile’s ENAP works to improve safety culture

Chile-based ENAP said Thursday that it is making the safety and health of workers is a priority, with the company having undertaken several actions to integrate and improve safety practices.

This commitment requires constant and ongoing concern and dedication in order to achieve a culture of high standard.

The plan has been working, the company says, and scope for improvements will be monitored continuously.

The strategic guidelines to achieve and maintain it over time has been implemented in each of the subsidiaries of ENAP, which include a management system of operational integrity and risks (Sgio), already deployed in exploration and production, and process implementation within refining and marketing.

ENAP says it believes the Sgio is the best way to systematize and assimilate the best practices of the oil industry and reduce performance gaps in the areas of safety, health, environment and social responsibility.
