Idemitsu resumes operation of Hokkaido vacuum distillation unit after fire

(Reuters) - Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co. resumed operations Sunday at the 24 Mbpd vacuum distillation unit of its 160 Mbpd Hokkaido refinery after the unit caught fire earlier last week.
There has been no impact on its shipments, a spokesman said on Monday.
The fire went out soon after the company conducted the emergency shutdown of the unit.
