Diesel exports from Russia's Primorsk may jump to record high in January
Ultra-low-sulfur diesel loadings from the Russian port of Primorsk may rise in January by about one-third in January from December and exceed 2.2 MM tonnes (t), supported by higher fuel output and seasonally weaker domestic demand, data from traders and LSEG and calculations showed on Tuesday.
In December, exports via Primorsk, Russia’s largest outlet for ultra-low-sulfur diesel shipments, climbed 35% month-on-month to 1.7 MMt.
Shipping data show diesel loadings from Primorsk port this month so far totaled 1.356 MMt, or around 71,400 tpd, with Turkey, Brazil and Morocco among key destinations, although many tankers have not yet declared their discharge ports.
Four additional vessels carrying a combined 170,000 t of ULSD are currently being loaded at the port, according to LSEG.
