Hernando Salgado is a Senior Process Engineer in the refining industry, specializing in the areas of fluid catalytic cracking, hydroprocessing, crude distillation and energy management. He earned a degree in chemical engineering from the Industrial University of Santander in Colombia, and a professional doctorate in engineering (process design) from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Dr. Salgado has experience in process analysis, troubleshooting, optimization and development, as well as in the economic evaluation of new facilities and modification of existing units.
