Foster Wheeler to supply waste heat recovery unit for Thai PTT project

Foster Wheeler was awarded a contract by Samsung Engineering to supply a waste heat recovery unit for PTT’s power generation and heat recovery project at the Map Ta Phut industrial complex in Thailand.

Samsung is PTT’s engineering, procurement and construction and pre-commissioning contractor for the project.

In 2010, Foster Wheeler successfully delivered two similar waste heat recovery units to Samsung for PTT. The design for all three units is in accordance with applicable environmental standards, the company said.

The undisclosed contract value for the project was included in the company’s second-quarter 2012 bookings.

Foster Wheeler says it will design, engineer and supply the waste heat recovery unit, including a selective catalytic reduction system and other associated equipment.

Delivery of the waste heat recovery unit to site is expected during the third quarter of 2013.
