Tasnee announced delay to SEPC's ethylene/polyethylene plant expansion project

National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee) has announced a delay in the completion of an expansion project and scheduled maintenance at its ethylene and polyethylene joint venture, Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co. (SEPC), in which it holds a 60% stake. The company attributed the delay to ongoing disruptions in global supply chains and said a revised operational start date will be confirmed once more information is available.

Tasnee expects the financial impact of the delay to be reflected in its Q1 and Q2 2026 results but noted it is not yet able to fully assess the effect on its consolidated financial statements. The maintenance shutdown, originally announced in January, began on January 2 and was expected to last 66 days as part of routine periodic maintenance.
