Attila Racz is a Senior Process Engineer for Comprimo, the sulfur technology division of Advisian, part of the Worley Group. His responsibilities include supporting Comprimo’s licensed technologies. A chartered engineer, he has more than 15 yr of design and consultancy experience within the oil and gas sector, supporting and leading projects spanning from conceptual studies, through licensor packages, FEED and detailed design, plant precommissioning/commissioning and operations support. He earned an MS degree in chemical engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

The consistent global trend toward improvements in air quality and tighter regulations on emissions, as well as the International Maritime Organization’s shipping regulations, continue to mitigate sulfur levels—not only in conventional transport fuels (petrol and diesel), but also in jet fuels, fuel oils and other heavier distillates.
