Arkema picks Jacobs for engineering, construction on US petrochemical projects

Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Arkema to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services for two projects at its complex in Clear Lake, Texas.
The first is for an acrylic acid expansion and the second a methyl acrylate project, company officials said.
"We are pleased to provide our support to Arkema on these very important projects, said Jacobs vice president Robert Pragada.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Arkemas acrylics plant is located inside the Celanese Industrial Park in Pasadena, Texas, where it partners with Celanese, Old World, Clariant and Linde.
