Siemens and Shomax expand U.S. fertilizer production with zero-carbon green ammonia
The signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) is designed to reduce U.S. reliance on imported nitrogen fertilizer, currently accounting for roughly 18% of domestic supply, while helping stabilize cost for farmers and supporting long-term U.S. food security.
